Steve, I think you understand that productivity is very important to compete which is under the assumption that there are unlimitted markets overseas to absorbe the outputs from our industry which is already over capacitied. If that is not the case, then over productivity is no good at all. Without enough market but with over productivity, you will just end up with pile up of goods which will go no where at all, then depression , market (including the stock market) crash !!!!!!!
