Fiberman,

Add two zeros. 10x10 technically means 1000 bid, 1000 asked. This MM has an order balance.

36x24 means 3,600 bid, 2,400 asked. (This MM is willing to purchase more shares than he has available to sell, or, he has more buyers who want stock from him than sellers who want to dump shares to him).

I don't know how numbers greater than 1,000 are represented, if at all. Perhaps the 10x10 number is used a ratio. Can anyone else shed light on this?

Regardless, if you are long the stock, you don't want to see more shares offered for sale (ask) than the MM is willing to purchase (bid).

The Lvl 2 charts I posted show, in the upper left hand corner, the three best bid and three best ask prices. Also, they show the number of MMs at each of the three best bid and ask prices.
