Unclear what it will produce.

More liquidity for primary dealers to play with should they decide to sell. But Treasuries are liquid.

I really don't get the Fed's move as it is difficult to see what it actually accomplishes. Shores up the Treasuries market a bit, but probably not very much. Other than that, what?
