Mike and Jerome thanks for the posts today very educational to me and reinforces my commitment to SNDK. I had earlier this year bought and sold SNDK for lack of patience and moved to great valuation stocks that are now a big bust (WDC APM). I had always remained a big supporter of SNDK to the point of touting this stock on other threads (APM ) as the next INTEL. As soon as pullback I sold everything and got back in at 25. I just hope I never lose patience again because I honestly believe that there is no better potential stock in the market today and short of an economic crash it really can be a $300 stock (of course it sill have been split several times by then) by year 2000.

>> After answering Michal's question about embedded system, I thought if it is possible for Sandisk to dominate the embedded flash market like it currently dominates the digital camera market and now the cell phone market. <<

Thank you for answering it again!

Needless to say, your thoughts reflect those that brought me here to ask, in the first place.

JJB, is this the article you spoke of? techweb.cmp.com

OFF-TOPIC - only slightly so.

It was interesting to read your comments on Windows CE and the embedded system market. I follow the WIND thread where there has been a lot of discussion on Windows CE and whether it really qualifies as a RTOS. In case you haven't, you might also want to read reply#2204 on the Wind thread. Since you seem to have first-hand experience with operating systems for embedded systems, I would appreciate your comments on the following:

1. Your experience using WIND products
2. How you see Windows CE vs Wind's RTOS shaping up in the future
3. To what extent can Wind's OS be used with SNDK's chips.

Your comments will be greatly appreciated. For your information, I have no opinion on any of this, being a non-tehie lay person just trying to learn some of the fundamentals in this exciting market.

Thanks

Erwin

"How does SanDisk fit into this picture?"

Question I e-mailed to SanDisk, along with the following:

"Please review throughly before answering:
techstocks.com

1. What products does SanDisk presently manufacture, that will be utilized for this purpose?
2. What products is SanDisk presently planning to manufacture, that will be ustilized for this purpose?
3. What percentage of the present overall SanDisk product line can be utilized for this purpose?
4. What percentage of the future overall SanDisk product line can be utilized for this purpose?

Thanks in advance,

Michal Daniel
SNDK Shareholder"

Answer:

"SanDisk designs and manufactures various products for the embedded system market.

SDIB and SDIBT are 1.8" and 1.3" inch hard disk looking products with 44 Pin IDE interface.

We also work with all the PC/104 manufacturers who have designed our products into their system.

We work with most of the Operationg Systems(including RTOS vendors) such as Win NT, Win 95, Win CE, pSOS, VxWorks, Lynx, Chorus, QNX, Linux, Datalight ROM-DOS etc. to provide a complete solution for our products.

SanDisk also provides Chipset solution for vendors who want to integrate our Flash directly into their design.

As a result of this , SanDisk products are designed into various applications such as GPS, Medical, Industrial, Military, Automotive, Avionics, Telecom and Networking applications.

I can not provide you with the exact figures but I pass your message to the appropriate people."

Of course I'll pass along the rest of the answers, when they arrive.
