I still think Obama made a mistake deferring to Congress so long on healthcare instead of jumping in to lead early on, but that is a tactical thing. Overall, he has pursued the agenda he promised in the campaign, which works for me. The gaping hole in the US government today is the black void called the US Senate. They are a joke. And their leaders still defend how the place works, unfrigging believable.

I ain't miserable. I'll take what I can get. The professional left has a bunch of idiots. Maybe if they move far enuf left to get where I am, they will be happier. Sheesh... got done something our 2 generational heros, FDR and JFK (well, LBJ) couldn't do. I'll take that. You can only improve a bill when you pass it in the first place. You know what pisses off MSNBC and Krugman? Obama isn't taking their advice. Ego. Obama should take advice from Michael Moore? Exactly what, since Roger and Me, in Moore's movement, has been accomplished in the real world? Did the plight of the GM workers improve? Did he get any changes in the gun culture? End the war? Health care, but not his, etc. He's gotten nothing accomplished in the real world. Why take his advice? Better to hurt his feelings by not listening and get something actually done. Maybe the feds should try doing what Moore does and stop listening to what he sez. Maybe make a bunch of movies and generate a big box office bonus for the treasury. Let's see..fantasy is being done really well, and there is a book series (of series) containing in toto about 13 books just begging to be put on film. Obama can't drill oil wells, but he sure has the capacity to make movies. Declare eminent domain, grab the copyright, and start those movies coming. en.wikipedia.org
