CLP-D is trading today, perhaps your broker changed the symbol.

I just sold mine.

Re: CLP-D

It's possible that the broker is changing the CUSIP to reflect it is being called and the trading "halt" is temporary (48 hours). They probably changed the symbol to reflect that they are now being called.

From their press release: ... CUSIP 195872403. The redemption date is September 10, 2010 and the redemption price will be $25.00 per Series D Depositary Share plus accrued and unpaid dividends for the period from August 1, 2010 through and including the redemption date, for an aggregate redemption price per Series D Depositary Share of $25.2257.

I would think that the security would trade up to the period of the actual redemption less the settlement period. Check with your broker and see what their procedure is.

Part of my strategy was to have some of my preferreds redeemed w/ the option to take the money (less some small discount) and reinvest. This is what occurred with my "hybrid" preferred stock when Albertsons was acquired by Supervalue.
