John; An absence of demand. Because folk don't have jobs. Can't buy the goods, so producers don't produce and don't hire to produce, which keeps employment low or lowers it. That is exactly right. Although to look at the numbers coming out of corporate America they are selling something. But, yes, yes we need more jobs and that is why I think we need a visionary plan to do something like infrastructure or rapid transport or going to the moon. Oh ya, that last ones been done. But when you pay people to sit at home - you lose a lot of support. You lose my support. You may not like that, but this is still America and when people don't like something they often vote against it. I personally don't think that makes any of these people that vote their conscience evil as some seem to think? That comment is absolutely not about you.
