Yeah, the pressures will only get stronger over time. If we had a legalized migrant worker program we could monitor and control (and tax), the limited resources for rounding up illegals could be devoted to the real problem individuals we don't want.

Same problem as our "war on drugs". But this is not an electorate amenable to rational, effective solutions. They want someone to hold their hand or push their buttons instead.

Just ask Mexico to become our 51st state? I am sure Mexicans would love to be Americans.

We will get Selma Hayek, oil, beautiful resorts and most importantly, our immigration problem is solved.
