Half? I could believe 1 in 100 but half - you've gone completely mad.

So you extrapolate from one study in Illinois and derive a universal law from this data? I've worked in the prison system for over 30 years as a Chaplin, a counselor and a volunteer. Very, very few that are accused of murder are innocent. That's the inside scoop my friend, not some hair brain extrapolation that fits your perverse understanding of the issue. I'm also opposed to the death penalty. I've seen hardcore murders/rapists etc. truly repent and reform their lives. Some fake it but when you spend years visiting in their cells and become friends they usually expose the inner self. Prisoners are notorious for tyring to manipulate Chaplains, counselors, lawyers, and generally "do-gooders".
Nevertheless, I always looked at my work as a miners/prospectors work. I explored the garbage dumps of humanity looking for diamonds in the rough. Over the years I've found a number of them. Prisoners are usually far more receptive to spiritual realities than the normal population on the outside. They ar broken and often consider themselves scum. A perfect condition of the heart to allow God to work his miracle of forgiveness and restoration through Christ.

Gus, > DNA tests tell us half of all deathrow inmates are innocent

Tenchu's fifth rule of partisan politics: Lies, Damned Lies, Statistics, and Hyperlinks.

Neither your link nor any of the links under your link proves what you said, but go ahead and twist the truth for your own selfish motives.

Personally I'm against the death penalty, since executing even one innocent person is too much in my book. But there is no need to twist statistics. It only makes you look foolish.
