I have made a great deal of money in tech stocks and have deep profits in a number which I continue to hold, others I have sold.

I lost a tiny % amount in coms, and could come in Monday much lower than I exited.

The only sensible reason to hold during an evident and predictable significant downturn in a stock is if you have deep profits, which you intend to take several years down the road at long term rates.

Not many are honestly in that position in coms. A few are.

I am in that position in intc. Bought a sig. position in Jan 96 at 50and change. (Post split 25 and change.) Not selling.

Sold some more recent intc purchases at a small profit in low 90s.

Regards, Doug
