My biggest beef with what the policymakers did is they propped up failed companies with failed ideas that did everything wrong. That is not how you cure the problem. The prolongs the problem and makes matters worse. In the extreme if no business could ever be allowed to fail, guess what, we would still have Chariot and dug out canoe manufacturers and all the salaries would be paid for by the Federal Government and we could all applaud that those people still have jobs! Those aren't jobs, they are welfare because creating a supply of anything for which there is no demand--the value of that supply is zero.
