Stockman does like to carry a grudge, especially when they can't fight back (the alive one could care less). What seems to me to be the logical move for the Republicans, as the opposition party, is to press for things like broad based investment tax credits rather than the Bush tax cuts. Granted that the ITC has its detractors as to it's efficiency/effectiveness it does lower tax rates and can stimulate investment.
