>> If the democrats let bush's tax cuts expire....it's a big step in correcting bush sins. <<

Oh BS -- cutting taxes a sin?? BS!!

I s'pose increasing government spending is virtuous. Give us all a f'n break -- I mean it!!

Tax increases never reduce the debt -- there is only one way to reduce the debt -- CUT SPENDING. Get a clue!!

I agree. Obama remains an enigma to me. Obama was handed the greatest mandate I can ever remember and he squandered it. It was like he has this huge blind spot, for all his intelligence and education.

He spent a year and all his political capital wooing folks who greatly disliked him and played rope a dope with him.

He was looking right in the face a great depression and he never took it seriously and felt he could deal with it as an aside. He studied FDR and then seemed to misunderstand what he did completely.

He also had Volker, Stiglitz (nobel prize winning economist) and most referenced economist in the world) and Krugman (nobel prize winner in international trade-kind of important these days-lol) all ready to step in and help. They also all got along well.

Instead Obama turns to Summers who hates Stiglitz and Geithner who is slimy. Volker was put on as a figurehead, and then insulted by forcing him to run his memo's to Obama through someone (can't remember who), so he stopped writing them. Summer's did the same to Romer.

Stiglitz was not invited to Obama's economic dinner until that night (and was deeply insulted) and Krugman was marginalized as a kook from day one.

Still, I am a yellow dog democrat, so always vote straight democratic tickets.
