I have a media person living same place I am here in Angola.

He told me due to the nature of his job he had to read lot of history of Angola.
One day I told him my version of the
Independence
Civil War
Interference of the foreign powers: Russia, S. Africa and Cuba.

It has all to do with the improvement of the lives of people.

Portuguese colonial powers were very good at producing food.
More food, less people died
Population increased
Portugal needed the colony as a captive market and source of materials and food.

Once the population reached the critical mass, the started armed struggle for independence.

Independece was no less than taking from the Portuguese what they have built.

After independence what we call civil war (before the foreign powers came to assists the warring factions) was the total collapse of the law and order.

Everyone was trying to loot something. This photo shows a house after the looting 35 years hence.

Today no one has a property title. They have been living on the apartment buildings houses and farms that were taken from the Portuguese.

Continuing.
After a robbery first thing that happens is the thieves start fighting for the looting.
Here enter Jonas Savimbi and Agostinho Neto (after he died followed by Eduardo dos Santos)

In their fight for power, they destroyed all the productive capacity of the country.
Until someone decided to put an end to the suffering

Ok let´s decide who stay and who should go:
They discovered Savimbi had a lot of money.
It was a mistake to have too much money stashed (some say it was USD400 million)
He got a bullet through his head people got his money (in a big wayo mind you, money went to heaven)

ASfter 2002 start the rebuilding of the country.

indoctrination/socialization prevails because it´s easy to grasp. The indoctrinator wants to reach the largest majority of the constituency. Thus must make doctrine very easy.
Facts are hard to come by and be accepted because:
• Information is hard to find by sorting out all kind of crap
• Information is hard to remember

One need to work hard to get the facts while doctrines come free and effortless.

Once a doctrine is wrapped up in do good then people will eat the banana without peeling it.

If you work hard for your information, has lots of experience, knows how to recognize indoctrination you do not buy the propaganda.

One only can see see facts if he was not subject to the indoctrination.
