Joseph, yes, I did, a good portion of the underground money find its way into large CD's. I have no way of measuring how much it is, but in some european countries, I am told that the unreported economy reaches up to 20% of the actually reported local GNP.

I wish Tek could shed some light on this problem, since this one point in the puzzle that does not really fit too well, no visible signs of inflation, yet the economy is flooded with money. You know, if they included hard assets and paper assets as well in the "basket" from which they derive inflation values, we could find where the extra money went, into paper assets.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former Vice President Dan Quayle says he will be a
candidate for president, but he's not sure when.

"I will run for president someday. I haven't finally decided whether I will run in
2000," Quayle said on "Fox News Sunday."

Quayle has made recent appearances stumping for candidates and raising
money for Republicans in Virginia, New Jersey and New Hampshire. In
addition, he said, "I'll be going to several states this week."

An early morning chuckle..
