<<I have spent some time in Trinidad and I might agree with you, that is comparing the Washington of today, but not the first 200 years 1776-1976.>>

... yeup.

i actually prefer tobago to trinidad, vancouver (have never been there) to tobago, and hk to vancouver. i would and am avoiding singapore. i cannot say i am in any hurry to relocate to beijing, and i certainly would skip new zealand and avoid california. washington and new york? not even considered as places as far as i am concerned.

<<I think your primary point was either all races are the same at creating civilized cultures or what difference does it make if one race/culture doesnt do as well at civilized cultures we're all in it together.>>

... while i can easily sign on and do, to that view as expressed above by you, what i meant was much happens throughout history are more random than we like to believe and has nought to do with chromo that and gene this, for we all come from same stock and might well be reverting back to same stock, america tee-up big time.

<<I think both of those positions are debatable, particularly since your posts have indicated a superiority of Chinese culture over US>>

... you are mistaken re what i posted. i merely point out what passes for usa culture is in truth a hodge podge of arguably better stuff transplanted onto stolen or conquered territory by accident of history, is an experiment, one that has been short relative to true culture, and is one born of genocidal blood, and so may twist and turn in directions we can easily suspect, and so we watch n brief :0)

if i were to choose to enjoy, i would select the italian or, even, the greek or argentine culture to live amongst. but for the sake of the planet, i would tee-up another.

the chinese culture, while true, has had some hiccups, hit bottom, is reverting to its natural mean, as it should and would and so is, is arguable as to merit, but certainly true as one of longest lasting and continuous and sovereign, and has arguably good enough foundation to save the planet from wastrels.

superior? do not know about that, and if so, doubtful the superiority arises from genes rather than accidents of history demanding and rewarding family values, diligence, thrift, practicality, inate spirit of adventure, and such ;0)

and the good news, the planet has a way, and as far as i am concerned, a likely way, forward and be saved. we should rejoice, and so i am.

one can only take so much of hamburgers as food, and coca cola as drinks and fox tv as knowledge ;0) for that way be wastrelism for certain.

it is difficult for me to argue on racial grounds when i am so yuantsungchen.com and thus yuantsungchen.com (scroll down and keep scrolling, and tell me who is superior :0)

you do see my point, i trust.

cheers, j

my wife tells me that the latest ultrasound scan of son jack indicates he is as all previous scans, reclined in comfortable beach-chair stance, featuring large forehead indicating cerebral gusto, and unusually large danglies, foretelling mating robusto.

i am concerned, for i know me :0)

nature vs culture, we shall see, though the directions of both may be, as seemingly always, be in alignment ;0)
