Obamas announce fifth vacation since July I would think the more often Obama is on vacation (and the more its a real vacation where he isn't pushing his ideas forward from some remote location) the better. Do you really want him back in DC pushing his agenda? Well I suppose before the election pushing it could make the Democrats even less popular, but still I'd rather avoid the harm of any additional Obama initiatives. He can stay on vacation as far as I'm concerned (and in 2012 we need to give him a permanent one).
