Thanks for a good laugh. Especially your last sentence.

I don't know if I am upset about turbines. I don't appreciate needless deaths of birds, regardless the source.

I haven't approached the subject with a serious investigation, but general reading of some literature confirms that cats and predators have a much greater impact on premature death than any other sources.

Compared to the Oil Sands, these other causes, and legal hunting, have much greater impacts on populations. Thus, to me, Oil Sands deaths are of negligible importance. They are only used as a PR vehicle to attack OS production.

-------------

Concur: complaining about cats has no hope. Cat-lovers will never agree or understand. Probably worse than arguing about religion.

-------------

I strongly support the pruning of predator populations by trappers. I hate raccoons, skunks, coyotes, and other vermin.

And 'real environmentalists' ?
