Besides, are you arguing that only white judges should rule on civil rights issues? Or only male judges should rule on sexual harrassment and other women's related issues?

Of course not. The important point is whether the judge can be impartial; an openly gay judge cannot conceivably be impartial on this issue. I would argue that a black judge CAN be impartial in a civil rights case, all thought not all would be. And certainly both men and women are capable of impartiality in sexual harassment cases.

You have a tendency toward drawing analogies where none exists.
