Obama does not know what the word nihilism means. en.wikipedia.org Osama is the total opposite of nihilistic. In fact, Obama is more nihilistic with his eclectic, anything goes, all cultures are equally valuable political posturing. < "Our capacity to show not merely tolerance, but respect to those who are different from us—a way of life that stands in stark contrast to the nihilism of those who attacked us on that September morning, and who continue to plot against us today."> The reason that Islamic Jihad attacked was that they are the total opposite of nihilistic. They fervidly attach themselves to their ideology and will die to enforce the ideology. They are totally adamant and committed to their specific doctrine as laid down in their Koran and fatwahs. Obama's "capacity to show not merely tolerance but respect to those who are different ..." is far further along the nihilistic scale than Osama. Obama is saying "It's all the same, nothing matters, all cultures equal, que sera sera, there's no objective reality". That's nihilism. Osama says the opposite. A determined, murderous, fixed, immutable, totalitarian dominance ideology, continuing for well over 1000 years is NOT nihilistic. It very specifically and intentionally is the absolute opposite of nihilistic. It says indeed things do matter and they matter for all the cosmos and all people and animals. It says these are the rules and you shall obey or die. Obama says America will never be at war with Islam. That's great news for Islam because they are at war with America and it's a lot easier if such a well-armed target does not even know it's in a fight to the death. Mqurice
