siemens has begun to develop 300mm tools I will get you the link on monday, although it has already been posted on this thread. in their most recent report to shareholders they suggested that they might chose to augment this internal development with aquisition. they pointed out that chip tools was a glaring weakiness in current offerings which run from nuks to machine tools to tbx to network. Novellous, LRCX, KLIC, and MTSN are just some of many relatively low cost co's available to a rich enterant looking at a stratigically important high margin business, and all need suitor cause the capital game's gonne get pricey. siemens is by the way a very well run and finaancialy powerful corp, europe's GE (now there's athought). IBM is partial spec on my part and partialy a reaction to a meeting i had last week in which copper was discused. I may well have put 2+2 together to make 5 but then again my calculation has served me well in the past.

OFF TOPIC read the intc thread for the last two days. those guys are hysterical. Also APPLE's gonna move monday.... seems to me like they're gonna get too play in the next opperating system game.

Also - are you long if so how. and what's your history.
