good comments -- things to check for anyone that wants to hold these "multiplier" etfs -- only thing I'd say: if REITs do get hit hard the vol is apt to be above the longer run average --

Better to short IYR or URE, or sell the calls of those, IMO....I hold SRS, but only for short periods as you've suggested. The slippage is, well, awesome.....<NG>
