Dear thread,

PFE would not be vulnerable to the fate of Viagra regardless of what FDA's decision--except temporarily--as the company has a solid product portfolio including 2 other blockbuster drugs close to NDA filing.

Vivus, on the contrary, is a one-product company, and this is where the real risk lies.

Cacaito......I believe that VVUS's recent "CRASH" was due not solely to PFE's CEO's comments but by "The death of a 79 year old MUSE ADDICT who had a sudden "NON-MUSE RELATED HEART ATTACK!

If I recall, VVUS was at 38 going to 40 when this unfortunate event occurred. I believe that a FEW STRONG PLAYERS GOT WIND of this event and began SELLING AND SHORTING VVUS AGGRESSIVELY! As October unfolded no matter what POSITIVE COMMENTS OR NEWS was said about VVUS this stock continued to freefall while consistently opening higher ( to attract buyers and than closing lower). Friday was the first encouraging day for VVUS longs in a while and that was with the stock being off 7/16 for the day. However if the news came earlier we would have probably seen VVUS up for the day ( a small miracle). Anyway, JMO!

Staying Long and Buying (with what little money I have left) on all DIPS,

DB

PS. Several of my fellow LONGS have agreed that this gentleman should become the poster child for VVUS's new ED awareness campaign. He LOVED HIS MUSE AND REFUSED TO GIVE IT UP EVEN AFTER A STROKE! By the way it was said he used MUSE more than 200 times in 3 years! WHAT A MAN!
