All,

I just read an advertisement in USA Today from Hughes Network talking about there new service that originally was simply "DirectTV" but now is being billed as "Directduo". Satellite TV and Turbo Internet Served up on one dish.

It states: "Imagine two satellites deep in space. One is broadcasting all the greatest, wildest web sites from the internet, at blistering speeds up to 400Kbps. The other transmits over 200 TV channels of your favorite programs. Now imagine getting all of this content, enough to entertain a small village, right in you home, through just one dish."

DirectPC plus Direct TV equals DIRECTDUO!!

Remember this:

FIRST SATELLITE CONNECTED CYBERCAFE

Westlake Village, CA. & Atlanta GA.> Franklin Telecom announced today that its Internet subsidiary Internet Passport has completed the installation of a Hughes DirecPC™ satellite connection at the World Caf‚, located in Santa Monica, California. The World Caf‚ serves as the premiere gathering site for cyber clubs and tech support groups for L.A.'s high-tech west side region.

David Teck, owner of the World Caf‚, has maintained one of the few successful Internet connected cyber cafes in the United States for the last eight years. He explains that he originally added the
cyber aspect to his bistro in order to give a unique, high-tech twist to the social ambience. His idea gave his business a significant boost; over the years the blend of computers, music and mingling
professionals has carried the World Caf‚ through the "trendy" stage into its present status as a well established Los Angeles landmark.

and other innovative products to an ideal target market of businessmen and professionals who are already on the cutting edge of the Internet revolution and intend to stay there!"

The World Caf‚ will showcase its expanded capabilities via a celebrity reception to be announced shortly.

Any comments? Was Franklin involved with the development of DirectDuo or just with regards to this particular project?
