Pluses- Can't read a computer magazine without articles about DVD. All the PC manufactures are offering DVD drives. Home entertainment stores are showcasing their DVD based entertainment systems.

Minus- Not many movies have been released on DVD. Hard to find the ones that have been released, not many stores carry the disks. Hardware manufactures are muddling the picture by offering competing standards.

Questions- Will the folks who buy the PC's with DVD drives want to hook them to their TV's to watch movies? If so will this push the studios to take notice? What is the market for software manufactures to release their product's in DVD format? (Encarta and some others already have). Will Sonic benefit if software firms use DVD instead of CD-Rom to release software? With all the PC makers selling units with DVD drives, what part of the DVD industry will benefit?
