The EMA weights the most recent prices more. Since Yahoo had most of its advance in recent weeks, that's the reason.

The slope of the moving average doesn't mean anything. You can see that by simply changing the display scale of either the price or time axis.

The last correction I referred to was the Feb-April small-cap correction, err, whiteout.

BTW, This week's Barron's cover story blasted Yahoo's valuation.
