Well said. It is insurance by title Federal Survivors and Old Age Benefits Insurance or close to that. What this opens up of course is that the Govt could change the rules again (default) and say hey, this is an insurance program and you saved up $5 million during your lifetime. You don't need the money (e.g. your insurance claim is denied, like there was no car accident or your house didn't burn down) so you get nothing! Next customer please!
