No, someone has to make decisions, but has not Medicare generally followed the FDA? That is, if the FDA determined a drug is useful in a particular context did it no t previously qualify for reimbursement?

My k knowledge of this subject is admittedly weak but I think chemo agents that are determined by FDA are usually covered, although part d certainly changed the wa ys in which they are covered. I do know that mc often fights m medical oncology offices over these bills but usually on technical grounds.
