My theory is that most of the crooks who ran the savings and loans banks into the ground are now doing HMO's. Or IPO's! :-D

Larry, I agree with your assessment of HMO's. That the government should give them special privileges borders on the criminal. They profit from denying services to sick people and benefit directly from human misery which might have been made less so without their profit. They also have corrupted physicians by putting in positions where they must choose between their own income and the benefit of their patients. Overall a disgusting and truly sad situation. I could go on but I'm getting nauseated. Jack
