Tom: >>Two of the so called experts in the Barron's column have shown terrible performance for the year. Their advice is suspect. <<

Thanks! I suspect advice even if it comes from someone with a better record. I suspect even Lynch. In a prevouos round one of these guys or all three said WCOM they would not touch with a 100 foot pole. I bought at 19 and still holding...

In particular, I belive their short ideas don't even come close to those of the experts at Rogers. In such type of article you may find one good [long] idea among many stocks mentioned. And of course the guys are almost always "sitting big" on their picks. They will never tell you what they are buying Monday [Monday is my favorite buy day of the week] Everyone scared shitless from all the negative press they read over the weekend.

Regards

Pancho

Amen to your doubts about the judgement of Barron's tech experts. One of them, Force, said, that HTCH is his favorite short sale candidate. For a short window of time, he may be right, but his premise I do not understand. No one that I can find understands what Force refers to in speaking of a technology that "displaces" what HTCH produces. A competitive product, perhaps, but the disk drive industry does not have a substitute for heads or their incorporated suspension assemblies. A HTCH short might work for the next six months. But this is a company that could begin to make a lot of money once again next year if its new product gains acceptance in the DD industry. Force is confused.
