Religious tensions run high in the country. The northern Nigerian state of Zamfara introduced a stricter set of Shari'ah laws last week, saying that all "unauthorized" places of worship will be shut down. The governor, Ahmed Sani, "ordered the destruction of all Christian churches and non-Islamic places of worship," according to the Dallas Morning News.

I don't remember ever saying that I went to the Crystal cathedral. In fact, I never even visited the place. Something I should have done before I moved north, I guess. I did attend Pastor Rick Warren's church, Saddleback, for a while. But that church was just way too big for me. It's the size of a community college campus. I've always said that a church should consist of, at minimum, a leader, a guitarist, and an overhead projector. Everything else is just extravagance. Tenchusatsu
