Recent email: 5 Percent Down Payment Requirement Rejected by U.S. Senate!

In a bid to stem taxpayer losses for bad loans guaranteed by federal housing agencies Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn) proposed that borrowers be required to make a 5% down payment in order to qualify.

His proposal was rejected 57-42 on a party-line vote because, as Senator Chris Dodd (D-Conn) explained, "passage of such a requirement would restrict home ownership to only those who can afford it."

Use of Acetaminophen Can Cause Asthma in Teens, Says Study
Submitted by Gene Rickman on Sun, 08/15/2010 - 08:44 Featured Health United States

A recent study released on Friday brought out that teenagers who take painkiller acetaminophen, commonly known as Tylenol, are more threatened by asthma, allergic nasal conditions and eczema.

Richard Beasley, Director, Medical Research Institute in Wellington, New Zealand escorted the research and findings were published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.

In the research, questionnaires were given to 322,959 teens aging 13-14 in 50 different countries. They were asked the questions relating the use of acetaminophen, other drugs, and the symptoms of asthma. They were also made to tell the symptoms of asthma, if any, similar to those shown in the video of clinical asthma.

It was found that 73% of the teens used to take acetaminophen at least once in the preceding year, while 30% has consumed it on monthly basis. Taking in view the other factors like environment, risk and disease tackling methods, it was discovered that who took drug for at least once a year had 43% probability to get asthma and those who took the pill monthly were 2.5 times more likely to get affected by the disease.

Also, the threat of nasal congestion was 38% more in those taking drug once in a year, while 2.39 times higher for those consuming the pill monthly. The risk for eczema was 31% in the first case and 99% in the second.

The association between the use of the drug and the diseases it incurs needs more clinical trials and the effects of the medicine in adults also need to be assessed before exercising any prohibition on the use of drug.

strong Christian faith is what guides him

I've never known a person of deep faith that ever had to put out a press release on the matter....on the other hand, it's been my experience that many scoundrels will try to convince you with "talk".

The wheels are falling off and this inexperienced man does not have the sense to stay at the White House and shut up....He surely needs to read up on Calvin Coolidge's approach to the job.
