Loyalty in our most significant relationship (as well as other relationships) is paramount. Apparently if a mixed-marriage is the issue, Doc Laura doesn't think it counts? or is in any situation? different religion. or your partner is less-educated or not as smart as you and your friends and they love to bash on the dumbies? come from different classes? or weight, even. or whatever it is that family and/or friends bash on that includes your partner, even if they just don't like her and make sure to let you and her know that, or just let you know it behind her back all the time.

nope. and that is good ol' biblical stuff re relationships. you shall leave your family and cleave (: to adhere firmly and closely or loyally and unwaveringly) to your partner. can't do it? move on. no way a woman should go through what she is. dude ain't ready to cleave, walk away. family and friends should always know who comes first.

For me, that is what struck me re Doc Laura. and if people stepped back from the paticuliar circumstance the woman presented and look at what Laura was saying about relationships... messed up, imo.
