Domicile 1st October 1935” whereby the bondholder would receive some cash and mostly blocked currency “script” of the Nazi regime. The American bondholders were openly discriminated against in spite of formal protests by the American Government." [emphasis added]

This “script” was fiat that Germany used in the 1930s to rebuild its economy, mostly military related spending. This currency was not debt and was not based on gold. And unfortunately, it performed perfectly.

What is the "gold bearer" aspect? I did find this article from 5 years ago, but it doesn't explain the gold part...
