5. 'Door-to-Door' Gun Confiscations That's a theory with some basis in fact. Sure its gets exaggerated by those who fear it most, but look at New Orleans after Katrina, and to a lesser extent a few other situations. And look to the wishes of the extreme left (not enough to get policy passed, over the active opposition on this, but not just a very tiny fringe either) As for the other things, they aren't necessarily particular to the fringe right. The 9/11 conspiracy wackos are primarily from the left, and several of the others are mixed.
