I'll be able to try it on Wednesday. Interesting though that you don't think it's a hard drive. Sometimes after say ten minutes or so I'm able to access the internet at normal cable speed like there's no problem at all. I noticed the problem began when I came back from a ten day trip where the computer had not been on while I was gone.

Accessed Western Digital's web site and downloaded the test for my hard drive. My hard drive passed both tests so now I don't know what to think the problem is. It seems when I first turn the computer on the hard drive is busy doing I don't know what. When I ctrl, alt, del, nothing is showing. I've run Easy Cleaner, CCleaner, defrag, Avast and Superantispyware. Fortunately I have a netbook to fall back on.
