Mike and A.J.,

A few remarks :

1 - Mike, I partly agree with you as regards Mr Eli's comments. I understand part of the rationale of his move. Of course, the stock could be sold very at a very high price. Given the capital obtained, when it's put to work, it would help us achieve tremendous capital gains since we're in the stock since $10-15 but new shareholders could get angry seeing the stock plummet to $30 while they paid $50. This has proved to happen.

He's thus trying to get a fair value for the stock so that he risks no litigation.

The IPO was 2 years ago and people who got in at that time are just above break-even. You see what I mean.

He and we have got plenty of time. At $30 we get minimal dilution.
Of course I also wish the stock could have been priced @40 or above!
But we gotta understand business.

2 - GPS use flash memory (a good source told me so), Mr "good source" if you agree please tell us more about the potential of SNDK in the GPS market, small market?

3 - Plane's black box is made of flash,

4 - SanDisk is not the only flash memory vendor supporting Windows CE, M-Systems also does. You should know this company as its flash memory also supports WindRiver's Tornado,...

5 - M-Systems is currently the BIG winner in the embedded systems market there is a FLSHF thread here on SI. It's not very active, but we're very few to follow the stock. For the last 2 months I focused on SNDK.

6 - Yes, once the digital odometer on the GM car is dead, mileage disappears. Mileage shown on the new LCD screen is thus '0'.

I wish I could sum up all views expressed in the last week :

the number of applications using or to use flash memory is just HUGE and it's gaining tremendous momentum !

'98 is a transition period : we're moving from small road to the fast lane, growth could be well above our projections (Rex & I).

Thanks,

Jerome
