YOu probably are not aware of the meaning of "rules of engagement". Even UN peacekeepers have rules of engagement if they are fired upon.

Your post clearly stated that the troops left behind are trained for combat.

The rules of combat have changed. I did not see anywhere in your post that "Obama lied." We all know that the 50,000 troops left behind are from the original deployment but witha different mission. They are under Iraqi command and control.

Now stop your nonsense of ranting on this thread and doing it in a way that does not jive with what you post.

Where did Obama say that combat troops from Iraq are gone. Why are you spreading lies. I hope it is not deliberate and that instead you did not pay much attention to what he said.

US President Barack Obama has confirmed that all American combat troops will withdraw from Iraq by the end of this month.

Speaking at the national convention of the Disabled American Veterans in Atlanta, he said the August 31 deadline for withdrawal of combat troops will be met.

"Make no mistake, our commitment in Iraq is changing from a military effort led by our troops to a civilian effort led by our diplomats," he said.

"By the end of this month, we'll have brought more than 90,000 of our troops home from Iraq since I took office - more than 90,000."

A transitional force of 50,000 soldiers will remain to train Iraqi security forces, conduct counterterrorism operations and provide security for ongoing US civilian efforts, Mr Obama said
