Nanny,

I got an e-mail back from a Dr. Rasheed (RASHEEDK@CSMC.EDU)
on the Sunrise LTK when I inquired as to his knowledge of it:

"It is my understanding that LTK is not very useful for the
treatment of hyperopia beyond 3 or 4 diopters. It is also
associated with a high regression rate. The excimer laser
(VISX) is in FDA trails for the treatment of hyperopia and
initial results indicate that the treatment of up to +4
diopters can be done reliably and with little regression."

My understanding was LTK had a much lower regression rate
than excimer. ANY COMMENTS ON RESPONSE FROM DR. RASHEED?
