>>IN the end, there is no real difference between a democracy and a Republic and they have been the best forms of government.<< utter hogwash. the differences are easy to grasp. in a democracy, 51% can vote to enslave the other 49%. democracies are simply mob rules. a constitutional republic has a law that no person can be a slave, so 1 person is protected even if 500 million people want to make that one person a slave. it is RULE OF LAW. our entire foundation was built on the idea that some rights are inalienable - GOVERNMENT CAN'T TAKE THEM AWAY. government's hate anything that limits their power and will try and circumvent any such document. the hoax that we are a democracy and not a constitutional republic is important because the nation's OWNERS want the people to believe that, once elected, their new OWNER puppets can DO WHATEVER THE HLL THEY WANT, CONSTITUTION BE DMNED. in america, that is criminal and treasonous, but the criminals run the show and americans are ignorant - and will pay dearly for their ignorance.
