Agree, although possible bounce at P&F target of 1010 which we may reach within the next couple of weeks

Personally I think we go much lower over time sliding down the slippery slope of complacency (opposite of climbing the wall of worry). I say this first because AAII market sentiment surveys have bounced around from mildly bearish to mildly bullish influenced by short term market trends - investors are not very scared, nowhere near capitulation. Second most economists are talking about a slowing economy rather than another recession/depression - they are slow to react. I am not sure whether we see a crash - we could see a series of mini crashes followed by weak bounces and more minicrashes over the next few years - which brought the Nikkei down over 80% over many years. Or we could see a combination of these scenarios - the ECRI index certainly points to a 25% market drop if 2008 is an indication. I think the gap at Dow 2550 will ultimately be filled by 2016 (some are even calling for sub 1000 Dow). BWDIK
