Thanks for the hand-typed news letter summery and the wed site.

So, we are approaching the 150th anniversary of that great historical period (Gold Rush 1848). I heard from this thread that TIME mag. is writing about the area around BCMD. What's latest, anyone konws?

One thing exciting about this stock is that it may well make history in the coming "Gold Rush 1998" :-)

Wild West Magazine - Dec. 97 issue - also has interesting article about Sutter find of gold with good map of the Grass Valley area and excellent description of all mining processes and how it developed.

Thank you, Frank, for posting your article. Unfortunately the Wild West Magazine article is not on the web, that I have found so far, but is on your local news stand (at least west of the Rockies?).
