Regarding health care, Boehner said Obama should seek to end a controversial mandate that requires businesses to report to the government any purchases that cost more than $600.

Democrats also support removing the rule, though the two parties have clashed over how to do so. See earlier story on small-business tax.

"If a landscaper wants to buy a new lawnmower, or a restaurant needs a new ice-maker, they have to report that to the feds. If you're a Mom-and-Pop grocery store, and you buy $1,000 worth of merchandise from 15 different vendors, that's 15 different forms you have to file," Boehner said. "What is the point of making employers and entrepreneurs spend $17 billion to send all this paperwork to Washington, where it's going to cost about $10 billion to log it in and file it away? Talk about overhead."

As far as sun tan man goes, I don't agree with too much of what he says, but in this example, he is dead spot on as far as what a clusterfcuk this would make for small business.

Don't kid yourself, economics may get YOU engaged, but it gets the average Dumbf*ckistani's eye's rolling back, drool running out of their mouth, etc.

Pay attention to our own Dumbf*ckistani avatar, joseffy. Has HE been exercised about Summers or Geithner? Hell no! He's TOTALLY concerned about the proposed "non-mosque" 2 blocks from ground zero. Does he think anyone even CARES?

Boehner will abandon that line of attack when it gets no traction, and go back to the (R) bread 'n butter hate and fear mongering bumper sticker "issues".

Which is too bad, because we could USE an adult opposition party right now.

>>>President Barack Obama should call for the resignation of both Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Larry Summers, the head of the White House's national economic team, House Minority Leader John Boehner said Tuesday.<<<

Memo to Boehner: Last time I asked, all the Cabinet Members and Advisors served at the pleasure of the Prez. Call on whom to resign. Just fire them. And last year would not have been too soon. Unless he hurries, he won't get the lift going into the election of showing some common sense.

Speaking of lifts, I haven't seen the polls since this AM's housing news but I suspect that incumbents on both sides are making plans to move back to the home state - or perhaps Bermuda where they can't be lynched.
