Do they sometimes out a known amount of gold in the assay to bring trace quantities up to a level where they can compare the relative amounts and come to a statistical conclusion about how much gold there is in the ground? I know they add silver to collect gold but do they some times add gold too? Could this be a source of confusion?

Concerning ears and eyes..they need an education. Its too bad there were not better trained guys on the drills as most you could slip 800 feet of massive pyrite by and they wouldn't have a clue.

They sure pounded acres of zinc past the last crew on the Cross Lake ground and nobody blinked. Middleton's story about not seeing the honey coloured sphalerite may be weak. It had to look some strange at 18%. It sure wasn't granola. Never mind that calcite talk. I have seen much strange zinc and the first thing you know is its strange.
