What are the possible benefits to the general populous for him not moving his idea?

* The potential to move beyond differences and resentment based on simple appearances or religious beliefs is available.

I think the controversy is such that building the mosque at that location moves us in the other direction, increasing resentment, distrust, and animosity, not helping to decrease it.
