Unlike the stimulus - which was supposed to create jobs we can't identify - yes - I far prefer real ones where young americans are learning skills they can use after their service.

Bentway, > So, you're FOR a make-work jobs program, as long as it's the military?

I thought you would be. Considering how much you hold military types in contempt, I'm sure you would rather have them overseas than walking around your neighborhood.

The military is not primarily a make-work program. Sure its not like it (or any other large organization) is perfectly efficient, there is room to cut out specific jobs with no, or at least no significant, reduction in ability, but that room doesn't amount to 90%.

Its not a make-work program it does actual work. You might object to the work it does, but that's another issue.
