For once I have to agree with you. Its true that the economy is not doing too well, but we are a long way from the Great Depression. Unless "depression" is being used as another word for "recession" or perhaps "non-mild recession", we aren't in a depression. I agree but I also have to add the caveat that it depends on where you live. Where you and I live the recession was not very deep. However, in NV, NC, MI, CA, AZ and FL, it came close to a depression. But overall, on a national level, its not a depression.
