The speech is an important piece of America, and indeed, imo, holds something of the sacred in it. the day it was given, however, is simply a day.

Any and all should have gatherings at the Lincoln spot. if people felt strongly about it being only for certain events on the day the speech was given, should plan way ahead and keep it reserved.

Should the DC police not grant Beck permission to hold the rally because "it hurts the feeling of African Americans who also want to hold the rally at the same place for their leader Dr. King."? For those who answer "NO" I ask "Why not."

I disagree. MLK doesn't own DC. If Beck applied for a permit and got approved, in my mind, he is good to go.
