All wealth is: materials, capital and people's working capacity. Countries balance those 3 factors, if one is out of balance you compensate, forcing savings or importing capital, People's working: you easy migration or throw technology at the economy. Materials? impossible -in the long term- to solve. One can create a wrok around (Germany is a case in point: Creat an IG Farben and do well and dies and petrochemicals, but one still need oil for plastics, fertilizer and synthetic rubber. War to get other countries materials is a deadly affair and Japan's WW II showed. Europe source of wealth is: Germany, Belgium France: materials, (COAL and STEEL) capital and people's working capacity That Coal and Steel originated wealth will wear thin as it is spent. South Africa wealth? Gold inside the earth below Johannesburg. Chile? Copper. Brazil: materials and agriculturals, We can see the trail of cities for every single cycle: Pau Brasil, leather, Gold, sugar, coffee and now everything you can imagine (Orange juice, tobacco, soy beans, pork, beef, chickens, iron ore) and oil coming in the next 10 years.

God plays dice with genes. Out of a mix, is pure luck that someone comes out good, excellent or plain useless. Juvenile diabetes is passed from the female to the male offspring. My mother has five sons. Only one got exterminated by juvenile dibetes. Me, plus the other four men, had just luck not to have it. My sister has only one boy and he is affected. In hs ciase he can take and will not give up and die. I guess some other genetic characteristic are just like that: luck. I am luck to have got out of poverty in my generation. Perhaps because I am more alert to what surrounds me, born out of a total mistrust in authority, Government and big organizations). My other four brothers plus two sisters wre not that luck. It is only their sons and daughters (all my nephews and nieces are doing very well) that are not going to be poor. Wife is a mixture: European, Amerindian and Black. She, well you know her, has no Amerindian nor Black looks, but some of their psychologic characteristics are black and Amerindian. Her brother is plain Black-Amerindian as is her niece and nephew. Her sister is a gree-eyed Black-Amerindian.
