Lee, Your right about the Cisco-Ascend pricing battle. Ascend has port density, This is the number one criteria from large remote access buyers. The TNT crushes the AS5300 in port density.

Did SEG lowering prices help WDC ? << lee, that was precisely my point. apparently you missed the tone of my hello? it was sarcastic. price cutting hurts everyone. the market is saying it helps cisco and hurts asnd with their wallets. this is a reality disconnect. one person essentially threw econ 101 out the window by saying that asnd price cuts don't affect competitors. wrong. one paired trade would be to go long asnd and short cisco.
